Job summary

Midco is seeking a Construction Technician to support the Construction department in maintaining, expanding, and upgrading our regional network. You will interpret network maps, capture design data, and perform installations and repairs on aerial and underground networks.

Position levels range from Construction Technician to Construction Technician III based on experience and certifications. You will read plans and design documentation, conduct site surveys, and coordinate with utilities for

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED required.
FTR certification within 60 days of hire and applied in all aspects of work.
Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; DOT requirements apply.
Working knowledge of NEC, OSHA regulations, state/local regulations and general safety standards.

Responsibilities

Interpret, read, and utilize network maps, plans, and design documentation.
Install, maintain, and repair Midco's aerial and underground regional network.
Coordinate with utility companies for house moves and cable relocations; ensure accurate billing and customer satisfaction.
Obtain required certification and safely operate bucket trucks for aerial construction and maintenance.
Mentor new hires and demonstrate safety adherence; ensure attendance and professional appearance.
