Northbound Executive Search seeks a Middle Office Analyst in New York, NY to support the full trade lifecycle for fixed income products, closely coordinating with front office, operations and accounting teams for timely settlements.

Responsibilities include monitoring and reconciling trades, processing loan settlements, resolving breaks, and maintaining data accuracy across systems. Strong attention to detail and communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of Middle Office, Trade Support, or Operations experience.
• Experience with settlements, reconciliations, cash movements and trade breaks.
• Experience in a hedge fund, private equity, asset manager, investment bank or similar financial institution preferred.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage multiple time-sensitive transactions.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Support the full trade lifecycle for fixed income products, from trade execution through settlement.
• Monitor and reconcile trades, positions, cash, and transactions.
• Process and track loan settlements, paydowns, interest payments, and principal payments.
• Research and resolve trade breaks and settlement discrepancies.
• Coordinate with counterparties, agents, custodians, administrators, and internal teams to ensure timely settlement.
• Review and process loan-related cash movements and wire activity.
• Monitor corporate actions and other lifecycle events impacting loan positions.
• Maintain accurate position and transaction data across internal systems.
• Perform daily reconciliations and investigate discrepancies; partner with Front Office, Accounting, and other Operations teams to resolve issues.
• Assist with reporting and ad hoc operational projects as needed.
