Job summary

PIMCO, a global leader in fixed income, seeks a Client Operations Specialist in New York to oversee the portfolio event process, manage onboarding and terminations, and collaborate across diverse teams. You will drive operational improvements, coordinate with clients and banks, and participate in all lifecycle stages to ensure smooth client transitions.

The role emphasizes strong project management, a solid understanding of fixed income, and a proactive approach to optimizing workflows.

Qualifications

• Minimum of a bachelor’s degree.
• Minimum 5 years of professional experience within Client Operations in the financial services industry, preferably fixed income.
• Demonstrated knowledge of the portfolio event process.
• Working knowledge of economics, fixed income fundamentals, or portfolio management.
• Prior experience in Client Management and/or Transitions Management.
• Strong project management skills.
• Experience automating business processes using workflow automation or BI tools.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the portfolio event process including onboarding new accounts, terminations, in-kind transfers, and portfolio modifications.
• Identify opportunities to enhance operational processes and mitigate risks.
• Collaborate cross-functionally to develop and implement client solutions and improve processes.
• Document project phases and prepare summaries for management review.
• Coordinate activities across departments and with external stakeholders such as banks and transition managers.
• Foster collaboration and contribute to overall project success.
• Engage in all stages of the client portfolio lifecycle and participate in key implementation decisions.
