Job summary

Hibbett Retail, Inc. is seeking an Accountant, Fixed Assets to manage the full lifecycle of the company’s capital assets. You will handle acquisitions, capitalization, depreciation, transfers, and disposals, ensuring accurate records across multiple subsidiaries and adherence to U.S.

GAAP. You will prepare journal entries, reconciliations, and period-end reporting, while monitoring CIP and capital expenditures in Workday.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required or equivalent.
2–4 years of relevant work experience in Finance, Treasury, Financial Operations, or related field.
Proficiency with Workday Financials and Microsoft Excel.
Solid understanding of U.S. GAAP and strong analytical/communication skills.

Responsibilities

Maintain fixed asset records across multiple fascias and subsidiaries in the FAS system.
Prepare and record fixed asset journal entries, reconciliations, depreciation calculations, and period-end reporting.
Monitor capital expenditures through Workday and CIP accounting; support audits and internal controls.
Prepare fixed asset accruals for quarter-end and year-end close processes.
Provide documentation for internal/external audit requests and maintain asset records for strong internal controls.
