Job summary

Hibbett is seeking an Accountant, Fixed Assets at its Birmingham, AL area HQ to manage the full lifecycle of capital assets from acquisition through depreciation and disposal. The role requires strong attention to detail and GAAP knowledge, with experience in Workday Financials and Excel.

You will prepare fixed asset entries, reconciliations, monthly roll-forwards, and period-end reports while ensuring asset records are accurate across multiple subsidiaries and cost centers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; 2-4 years of relevant work experience in Finance, Treasury, Financial Operations, or a related field; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

• Maintain fixed asset records across multiple fascias and subsidiaries in FAS system (acquisitions, transfers, disposals).
• Prepare and record fixed asset journal entries; reconciling and reporting in Workday and GL accounts.
• Determine depreciation, accruals, and period-end reporting; monitor CIP and construction in progress accounting.
• Ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP and company policies; assist with audits and internal controls; support tax and reporting requirements.
