Job summary

PACCAR is seeking a motivated accounting professional to manage capital expenditure workflows and the fixed asset subledger across divisions. You will collaborate with the Division Capital Budget Manager to ensure accurate monthly capitalization, asset tagging, and disposals, while preparing journal entries under GAAP.

The role requires strong Excel and data analytics skills (Tableau, SQL) and experience with SAP FICO; you will contribute to SOX testing, internal controls, and cross‑functional

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting required.
• 1+ years accounting/finance experience.
• Strong interpersonal and written/verbal skills; team environment.
• Excel skills (pivot tables, macros, charts); data analytics tools (Tableau, SQL).
• CPA or advanced degree preferred; SAP FICO experience a plus.

Responsibilities

• Manage Capital Expenditure process with Division Capital Budget Manager.
• Record monthly capital expenditures across departments.
• Ensure accuracy of the Fixed Asset subledger and setup.
• Coordinate with PDCs for asset disposals and tagging.
• Perform monthly reconciliations for Home Office and Fixed Assets.
• Prepare monthly journal entries per GAAP.
• Respond to monthly/quarterly reports to Corporate Accounting.
• Develop process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce costs.
• Support SOX testing and internal/external audits.
