Job summary

Rumpke is seeking an Accountant to record asset costs, track fixed assets, record depreciation, and handle asset dispositions in alignment with company policies. The role requires accuracy, strong attention to detail, and collaboration across departments.

Responsibilities include maintaining asset files, reconciling CIP to the general ledger, and presenting information at Capital Expenditure meetings with executives. Minimum 3+ years in accounting and a Bachelor's degree are required.

Qualifications

• Thorough knowledge and understanding of accounting principles, practices, and regulations.
• Waste industry experience a plus.
• Experience with fixed assets and capital expenditures preferred.
• 3+ years of accounting experience required.

Responsibilities

• Process asset transfers, disposals, and additions for all locations.
• Maintain Capital Expenditure and Fixed Asset Tracker databases.
• Prepare monthly journal entries and reports for Capital Expenditures and fixed assets.
• Assist with annual external financial audit schedules and cross‑functional coordination.
