Job summary

The Little Nell in Aspen seeks a Steward to clean and store flatware, silver, glass, and kitchen equipment, with occasional food prep support. Reports to the Executive Steward and supports a high-end dining program.

Responsibilities include dish handling, area setup, and maintaining sanitary conditions. Must be able to work nights, weekends, and holidays; prior kitchen experience and ServSafe are preferred. This is a seasonal full-time position with benefits.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Prior work experience in a commercial kitchen is preferred.
• ServSafe or similar food safety course certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Clean and stack all dishes properly.
• Store dishes and silver in designated locations.
• Set up cleaning area and ensure dish machine is ready for service.
• Maintain a clean and sanitary work environment and assist with shift cleaning.
• Assist with storage of food deliveries.
• Clean kitchen walls, floors, and related areas.
• Disassemble and clean dishwasher at shift end.
• Post caution signs when floors are wet to ensure safety.
• Maintain kitchen work areas, equipment, and utensils in order.
• Assist with preparing items according to chef specs.
• Follow daily prep lists to ensure service readiness.
• Report issues to Executive Steward.
• Other duties as assigned.
