Job summary

The Savoy at Fort Lauderdale Rehabilitation and Nursing Center is seeking a dedicated Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) to join our rehabilitation team. The PTA will deliver treatments under the supervision of the Physical Therapist and contribute to a five-star, patient-centered experience in a luxury short-term rehabilitation setting.

Responsibilities include documenting weekly progress, collaborating with interdisciplinary teams, and ensuring confidentiality and professional conduct.

Qualifications

• Must hold a valid Florida professional license and registration.
• Provide treatment under supervision of Physical Therapist.
• Experience with long-term care or geriatric patients preferred.
• Maintain timely weekly progress notes and documentation.
• Collaborate with all disciplines to deliver patient-centered care.
• Demonstrate exceptional patient service and clinical excellence.
• Adhere to scheduled hours and maintain professionalism.
• Perform duties assigned by Director of Rehabilitation.
• Comply with confidentiality, HIPAA and Residents' Rights.
• Experience with Case Mix Index and PPS scheduling preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Carry out best practice treatments under PT supervision.
• Provide feedback to the supervising PT via documentation.
• Assist with care planning and interdisciplinary rounds.
