Job summary

Scheels at Kirkwood Mall in Bismarck, ND is seeking a Retail Fitting Room Associate. You will greet customers, check in/out, and help manage merchandise in the fitting area.

Responsibilities include answering calls, learning product details, guiding customers to the right associate, and keeping the fitting room clean and safe. Schedule typically 18-25 hours per week with some weekends and holidays.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED or equivalent.
  • 1–3 months of related experience or training.
  • Willingness to learn product knowledge.
  • Ability to greet customers and assist with questions.
  • Able to work evenings/weekends as needed.

  • Prepare merchandise (buttons, zips, etc.) to return to the selling floor.
  • Answer all incoming calls in a friendly, professional, and pleasant disposition.
  • Learn product knowledge to assist customers and partner effectively with sales associates.
  • Be knowledgeable to answer questions concerning location, price, and use of merchandise, and direct customers to the correct associate when necessary.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized fitting room environment.

Responsibilities:

Education & Experience:

The ideal candidate will have or be in pursuit of a high school diploma or general education degree (GED); 1-3 months of related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Physical Requirements/Lifting Requirements:

Must be able to sit, stand, bend at the waist, climb, stoop, kneel, crouch, reach, walk, push/pull, lift, talk, and hear with or without reasonable accommodation.

Medium work – Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 30 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects

Scheels cares about the health and safety of our Associates. Associates are expected to follow all safety procedures and perform their job duties in a fashion that minimizes the risk of injury.

Schedule:

  • Schedule is usually 1-2 shifts/week plus every other weekend (Friday-Sunday). Schedule may include varied hours, weekends and holidays during peak seasons.
  • Typical weeknight shifts are 5pm-9pm and weekend shifts rotate
  • Average hours per week: 18-25 hours/week.
