This role focuses on fittings, sewing, client relations, and supporting the studio manager across New York City, Brooklyn, Long Island, Hoboken, NJ, and Greenwich, CT. Qualifications

• 7-10 years of alteration tailoring experience required.

• Proficiency in English required.

• Conduct fittings according to the Alteration Specialists Standard.
• Build relationships with clients, influencers, brands and stylists.
• Make every client feel welcome and confident in the skills of you and your team.
• Demonstrate production targets and proficiency with alterations across mens, womens, and bridal garments.

alts | Alteration Specialists is looking for a Fitter/Tailor
We are looking for a dynamic professional Fitter/Tailor, distinguished by their charisma, technical prowess, and professional integrity. This role will include fittings, sewing on the machine, building client relationships and supporting the tailor shop manager. This is a full time role in New York City, Brooklyn, Long Island, Hoboken, NJ and Greenwich,CT with salary, full benefits, and opportunities for future growth.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a professional, warm, welcoming studio environment
• Conduct Fittings according to the Alteration Specialists Standard
• Build relationships with clients, influencers, brands and stylists
• Make every client feel welcome, and confident in the skills of you and your team

Machine Production and Sewing

• Demonstrate that you are meeting personal production targets
• Cultivate proficiency with mens, womens, and bridal alterations as well as alterations of difficult fabrics

Analytics

• Constantly be evaluating processes that are not efficient and come up with solutions to better optimize our organization
• Inform front desk of all re-alterations
• Keep track of and scan your production during the day and communicate with front desk to confirm accuracy
