Job summary

Gold's Gym of the Carolinas and Florida seeks a Fitness Sales Manager to lead a team of Personal Trainers, drive PT sales, and grow the training department. You will coach on floor daily, develop trainers, and implement systems that sustain growth.

Success comes from coaching, accountability, and measurable results. The role emphasizes leadership, member engagement, and collaboration with club leadership to deliver exceptional client experiences.

Qualifications

• Nationally recognized Personal Training Certification required
• Minimum 2 years of personal training experience
• Minimum 1 year supervisory or management experience in fitness or sales
• Proven record of meeting or exceeding sales goals

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and manage the Personal Training team
• Drive all aspects of personal training sales, revenue, and member conversion
• Conduct fitness assessments, onboarding sessions, and sales presentations
• Hire, onboard, and develop high-performing trainers
• Manage schedules, session bookings, and department operations
• Track team performance metrics - sales, session volume, retention, and engagement
• Foster an elite culture of professionalism, accountability, and continuous education
• Collaborate with leadership to plan and execute major club events and initiatives
• Maintain a strong presence on the gym floor to build member relationships and visibility

Requirements

• Nationally recognized Personal Training Certification (NASM, ACSM, ACE, ISSA, NSCA, NPTI, etc.) preferred
• CPR/AED Certification (current)
• Minimum 2 years of personal training experience
• Minimum 1 year of supervisory or management experience in fitness or sales
• Proven record of meeting or exceeding sales goals
• Strong understanding of fitness programming, member engagement, and business operations
• Professional appearance, leadership presence, and effective communication skills
• Ability to demonstrate exercises and be physically active on the gym floor
