Job summary

Gold's Gym in Cornelius, NC is seeking a Fitness Sales Manager to lead the Personal Training team, drive sales of training services, and elevate member experiences. You will coach trainers, set sales targets, and collaborate with club leadership to build a thriving fitness department.

This role emphasizes on-floor leadership, accountability, and measurable results, including growth of training revenue, staff development, and high-quality client engagement.

Qualifications

• Nationally recognized personal training certification preferred.
• CPR/AED certified and current.
• Minimum 2 years of personal training experience.
• Minimum 1 year of supervisory or management experience in fitness or sales.
• Proven record of meeting or exceeding sales goals.
• Strong understanding of fitness programming and member engagement.

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and manage the Personal Training team.
• Drive all aspects of personal training sales, revenue, and member conversion.
• Conduct fitness assessments, onboarding sessions, and sales presentations.
• Hire, onboard, and develop high-performing trainers.
• Manage schedules, session bookings, and department operations.
• Track team performance metrics – sales, session volume, retention, and engagement.
• Foster an elite culture of professionalism, accountability, and continuous education.
• Collaborate with leadership to plan and execute major club events and initiatives.
• Maintain a strong presence on the gym floor to build member relationships and visibility.

Requirements

• Nationally recognized Personal Training Certification (NASM, ACSM, ACE, ISSA, NSCA, NPTI, etc.) preferred
• CPR/AED Certification (current)
• Minimum 2 years of personal training experience
• Minimum 1 year of supervisory or management experience in fitness or sales
• Proven record of meeting or exceeding sales goals
• Strong understanding of fitness programming, member engagement, and business operations
• Professional appearance, leadership presence, and effective communication skills
• Ability to demonstrate exercises and be physically active on the gym floor
