The Fitness Desk Receptionist at American Airlines – The Landing at Skyview 6 is responsible for delivering a first-class fitness experience by greeting members and guests to ensure their experience is memorable. Operational duties include maintaining a clean and organized fitness center and ensuring a safe environment for all members.

Responsibilities
  • Serve as an initial point of contact and communication hub for members, guests, and teammates.
  • Monitor gym entrance and exit, ensuring adherence to rules and policies.
  • Greet and engage members and guests with friendliness and professionalism.
  • Assist guests with facility inquiries and provide guest passes.
  • Handle member and guest check-ins, account inquiries, and registration processes.
  • Manage paperwork related to memberships, waivers, and releases.
  • Monitor check-ins for delinquent accounts, collect balances, and update member info.
  • Notify management of any issues requiring escalation.
  • Answer phones promptly and redirect calls appropriately.
  • Maintain knowledge of hotel information, promotions, and local area details.
  • Record issues and relevant information in the communication logbook.
  • Complete shift checklists and duty responsibilities.
  • Inspect courts and facilities daily for maintenance needs.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the facility and equipment.
  • Enforce all policies and report accidents or unsafe conditions.
  • Keep inventory of supplies and order replacements as needed.
  • Assist in preparing and presenting special events.
  • Perform administrative tasks related to facility operations.
  • Assist with additional duties to ensure smooth operations.
Requirements
  • Must be eligible to work in the U.S.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Current CPR/AED/First Aid certification required.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and communicate effectively with diverse groups.
  • Availability to work a flexible schedule including weekdays, weekends, and holidays.
  • Ability to stand for long periods; occasional walking, bending, and lifting up to 25 lbs.
  • Previous hospitality or customer service experience preferred.
  • Strong problem-solving and organizational skills.
  • Adherence to uniform and appearance standards.
