Job Overview

Lead, motivate, and coach members through Orangetheory’s 60‑minute heart‑rate‑based group workout. Inspire participants to reach personal fitness goals while ensuring every class is safe, inclusive, and technically sound.

Responsibilities

• Lead members through pre‑defined Orangetheory workouts and model correct exercise technique.
• Help members set, track, and achieve individualized fitness goals.
• Correct form and provide real‑time coaching corrections to maintain safety and effectiveness.
• Apply heart‑rate‑focused training principles and stay informed on competitive training trends.
• Collaborate with studio staff to support a positive studio culture.
• Coach a minimum of 8 classes per week.
• Immerse yourself fully in studio culture and member experience.

Qualifications

• Education: Current Orangetheory‑approved fitness certification (ACE, NASM, AFAA, NSCA, ACSM) and current AED/CPR certificate. 10+ continuing education hours per year outside of the Orangetheory curriculum.
• Knowledge & Experience: Intermediate understanding of physiology, exercise technique, and body mechanics. Experience with heart‑rate‑based training. Preferably 2+ years as a group or personal trainer. Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Outlook is a plus.
• Soft Skills: Strong communication, time‑management, and organizational skills. Ability to multi‑task, excellent customer‑service orientation, and a team‑player mindset.

Physical Requirements

Must be on their feet for the entirety of each class, demonstrate exercises in the weight room, and occasionally lift or move up to 80 pounds.
