Planet Fitness is seeking an Assistant Manager to join the Operations team. You will support the Club Manager, lead frontline staff, and help create a welcoming, well-run club for every member.

You will oversee interviews, drive performance metrics, and ensure safety, cleanliness, and exceptional guest service. This role emphasizes training, development, and a strong team mindset in a fast-paced gym environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 18 years old.
• High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
• Excellent customer service with a high level of member care.
• Experience leading teams in retail or fitness environments.
• Self-starter, enthusiastic about delivering the best member experience.
• Well organized, reliable, detail oriented, able to work without direct supervision.

Responsibilities

• Assist in interviewing and recruitment with initial phone screens for member service reps and fitness trainers.
• Drive club metrics in line with business performance.
• Lead by example to deliver +1% service and operational excellence.
• Monitor inventory and review sales numbers with the club manager to identify opportunities.
• Maintain a clean, friendly, and well-maintained club per company standards.
• Ensure teammates dress code, friendliness, and cleanliness are upheld.
• Oversee club audits to keep areas in top condition.
• Provide training and performance assessment for front-end staff.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Club Manager.
