Job summary

Seminole Hospital District is seeking a part-time Fitness Center Assistant to support front desk operations and member services at the Fitness Center. You will welcome members, perform clerical tasks, and supervise exercise clients under supervision of the department director.

The role includes giving tours and orientations to new members, maintaining equipment, processing messages, and ensuring safety and HIPAA compliance. Evening and weekend availability may be required.

Qualifications

• High School Graduate or Equivalent.
• Professional certification preferred (American College of Sports Medicine).
• BLS required.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Public relation skills.
• Previous public relations experience.
• Experience with exercise and fitness preferred.

Responsibilities

• Answer calls promptly and courteously.
• Routes all incoming calls to the requested party.
• Provides clearly written messages to employees.
• Gives tours to new and prospective members and initiates sign up procedures.
• Gives full orientations of facility and each piece of equipment to new members.
• Maintains and updates client billing, money, and receipt accounting.
• Maintains facility organization and safety.
