Job summary

Dedham Health & Athletic Complex is seeking a Fitness Center Floor Attendant to maintain a clean and welcoming fitness environment while delivering excellent member service during weekend evening hours.

Responsibilities include greeting members, keeping the floor organized, cleaning equipment, handling basic clerical tasks, and assisting staff as needed. CPR certification and strong communication skills are required to ensure safety and satisfaction.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Greet and assist members throughout the fitness center.
• Monitor and maintain the fitness floor, including re-racking weights, organizing attachments and equipment, and keeping areas orderly.
• Perform light cleaning and sanitizing of strength, cardio, stretching, and other fitness equipment.
• Vacuum floors, remove trash, and maintain overall cleanliness of the fitness center.
• Provide basic clerical support, including answering phones and scheduling fitness appointments.
• Assist members with general questions and direct them to appropriate fitness staff when needed.
• Complete nightly closing procedures, including powering down designated equipment and ensuring the fitness center is clean, organized, and secure.
• Communicate with the Club Manager to confirm the fitness center is clear and ready for closing.
