Job summary

St Mary’s Wellness Center, part of St Mary’s Health Care System, is hiring a Fitness Center Aide for a full-time day shift (Mon-Fri, 8am-5pm).

This role supports Wellness Center operations, ensuring a welcoming, safe environment for members, and assisting with training supervision and clerical tasks. A BLS certification and strong customer service are required, with preference for additional fitness certifications.

Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma.
• Basic life support certification required.
• Nationally recognized aerobics certification preferred.
• Personal training certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintains the Front Desk in the Wellness Center.
• Greets clients, answers phone, and takes payments.
• Assists with Hands on training and providing supervision of clients using the Wellness Center.
• Various other clerical and cleaning duties

What You Will Do

• Various other clerical and cleaning duties

What You Will Need

• Licensure/Certification/Registration: Basic life support certification required. Nationally recognized aerobics certification preferred. Personal training certification preferred.
• Education: Must have a high school diploma. Ideal candidate may have a Bachelor’s degree or be working toward completion of a degree in exercise science or health promotion.
• Experience: Must have excellent customer service and communication skills. Previous experience working in a medical fitness center preferred.
