Job summary

Vermont State Colleges System seeks a Student Success Advisor to support a caseload of first-year undergraduates at VTSU. You will facilitate onboarding, help with registration, and connect students to campus resources and meaningful goals.

Collaborate across departments, monitor progress, assist with major exploration and career readiness, and support at-risk students. Strong communication and organization are essential; occasional evenings or weekends may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in appropriate discipline; two to four years relevant experience.
• Master’s degree preferred with relevant experience.
• Experience coordinating student support across multiple areas.

Responsibilities

• Advise a caseload of first-year undergraduate students to support transition and goal setting.
• Collaborate with faculty and campus departments to connect students to resources.
• Assist with major exploration and career readiness activities.
• Maintain advising notes and track student progress in the advising system.
• Support interventions to reduce achievement gaps and assist-at-risk students.
• Participate in onboarding and orientation events.
