Job summary

Pennymac is seeking a First Vice President of Mortgage Operations Assistant General Counsel to manage nationwide litigation across the company. This role oversees outside counsel, reviews legal documents, and provides corporate reporting and internal litigation support.

Ideal candidates will be licensed attorneys (CA or TX preferred) with strong writing, organizational skills, and experience in mortgage servicing defense litigation.

Qualifications

• Must be a licensed attorney with bar admission.

Responsibilities

• Support nationwide federal and state court litigation across Pennymac entities.
• Oversee outside counsel strategies and billing.
• Prepare litigation risk and case status reporting for senior management.
• Collaborate with internal management to resolve active legal matters.
• Direct litigation specialists and review pleadings and briefs.
• Audit outside law firm invoices to maintain budgets.
• Demonstrate Pennymac values in daily work.
