Job summary

Iron Horse LLC, a woman-owned pipeline rehabilitation company, seeks its first Controller to partner with the Owner and build robust financial infrastructure across seven states. The role blends hands-on accounting oversight with executive-level strategic leadership to drive growth and discipline.

You will lead budgeting, cash flow, tax compliance, and internal controls while enabling scalable operations and accurate financial reporting for multi-state locations.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of progressive finance/accounting experience, with at least 3 years in a senior leadership role.
• Experience in construction, infrastructure, utilities, or specialty contracting industry preferred.
• Strong working knowledge of job costing, project-based accounting, and WIP reporting.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a strategic financial advisor to the Owner, contributing to long-range planning and business development decisions.
• Develop and manage annual budgets, multi-year financial forecasts, and capital allocation plans.
• Evaluate growth opportunities and new market entry with detailed financial modeling.
• Oversee payroll, accounts payable/receivable, job costing, and financial close processes.
