FieldLine Industries, a Colorado-based quantum sensing company, is seeking its first dedicated Controller to own accounting and financial operations. You will ensure accurate records, manage monthly close, oversee AP/AR, payroll support, and financial reporting while building scalable financial systems.

You will work closely with leadership to improve processes, implement AI-enabled tools, and strengthen controls as the company grows.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
5+ years of progressive accounting experience.
Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP.
Experience owning the full accounting cycle through financial statement preparation.
Experience with ERP systems such as QuickBooks Online, Sage Intacct, NetSuite, or similar.
Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
Strong Excel and financial analysis skills.
Ability to work independently in a small, fast-moving organization.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
High level of integrity and discretion when handling confidential information.

Responsabilités

Maintain the general ledger and day-to-day accounting operations.
Retain accurate and up-to-date financial records and ensure timely month-end and year-end close.
Process and reconcile accounts payable, accounts receivable, banking activity, and credit cards.
Prepare rolling cash forecasts, and help leadership understand upcoming funding needs and financial runway.
Support annual financial reviews, audits, and compliance requirements as needed.
Maintain fixed asset records and depreciation schedules.
Coordinate with external CPA partners for tax preparation and annual financial reviews.
Develop and continuously improve accounting processes, internal controls, and financial policies that will scale with the company.
Leverage modern accounting software and AI-enabled tools to improve reporting, documentation, reconciliations, workflow automation, and accounting efficiency while maintaining strong financial controls.
Contribute to the company’s capital, financial and liquidity strategies.
