Job summary

thyssenkrupp Materials Services is seeking a Warehouse Team Lead I in Park City, KS. You will manage and coordinate activities on the warehouse floor, train staff, and interact with customers at various management levels while ensuring quality and safety processes are followed.

Responsibilities include coordinating shift start, ensuring tools and materials are available, and maintaining documentation. Strong leadership and ability to manage up to 15 staff are essential for success in this role.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience as a team lead or supervisor.
• Strong leadership and multitasking ability.
• Ability to manage a team of up to 15 people.
• Excellent organizational skills.
• Ability to work days, afternoons, nights, overtime and weekend shifts.
• Reliable attendance is essential.
• Experience in automotive or industrial setting is an asset.
• Comfortable using scanners and tablets for data entry.
• Customer/vendor interactions experience.
• Must read, write and speak basic English.
• Computer literacy: MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and email.

Responsibilities

• Oversee inspection processes and inspection of customer products.
• Lead by example, keep areas organized and clean.
• Ensure safety policies are followed by all staff.
• Report accidents or incidents to a supervisor immediately.
• Coordinate start-up activities before shift start.
• Ensure tools and materials needed for jobs are on hand.
• Provide on-the-job training for new work instructions.
• Be accountable for personnel assigned to specific jobs.
• Provide input to Onsite Manager on objectives and tasks.
• Report policy violations to Onsite Manager.
• Participate in health and safety initiatives and customer satisfaction.
• Interact with customers regularly to ensure satisfaction.
• Maintain daily documentation and paperwork submissions.
• Ensure tool kits, PPE, and materials are available as needed.
• Comply with customer and tk regulations and rules.
• Maintain customer site badge access where required.
• Support cycle time studies for quoting new jobs.
• Work on warehouse floor around heavy machinery.
• Meet tkSCS attributes and competencies.
