Job summary

thyssenkrupp Supply Chain Services in Kyle, TX seeks a Warehouse Team Lead I to manage and coordinate activities on the warehouse floor and provide on-the-job training as needed. The role interacts with customers and onsite management to ensure work completion and customer satisfaction.

You will lead a team, oversee safety, manage shift start activities, and maintain accurate documentation. Proficiency with scanners/tablets and MS Office is expected, with prior supervisory experience preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience as a team lead or supervisor.
• Strong leadership and multi-tasking ability.
• Ability to manage a team of up to 15 people.
• Excellent organizational skills.
• Ability to work days, afternoons, nights, overtime and weekend shifts.
• Reliable attendance is essential.
• Experience in automotive or industrial setting is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the inspection process and the inspection of customer products for the assigned tables.
• Lead by example, be organized, and practice good housekeeping in all areas of the facility.
• Ensure all employees work safely and in accordance with health and safety policies.
• Coordinate shift start activities (table requirements, paperwork, etc.).
• Provide on-the-job training for new work instructions when applicable.
• Be accountable for all personnel assigned to specific jobs.
• Interact with the Customer daily/weekly/monthly to ensure satisfaction.
• Maintain proper documentation and timely submission of reports.
• Ensure tools, PPE, and materials are available for job completion.
• Perform cycle time studies to aid in quoting new jobs.
