Job summary

dsm-firmenich in Princeton, NJ is seeking a hands-on Sample Lab Packer for 1st shift to accurately weigh, fill, label, and pack liquid, powder, and chemical materials while following strict work instructions and quality standards.

You will use SAP, MES, and Weight Assisted Computer (WAC) systems to validate materials, manage inventory transactions, and maintain production records. The role requires standing for the full shift, lifting up to 50 lbs, and adhering to GMP/HACCP safety procedures.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent or prior experience in a manufacturing environment.
• 1 year chemical manufacturing experience.
• Knowledge of GMP and HACCP.
• Must be able to tolerate strong odors and allergens.
• Ability to stand for an 8-hour shift and lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Accurately weigh, fill, package, and label liquid, powder, and chemical materials per work instructions and quality standards.
• Utilize SAP, MES, and Weight Assisted Computer (WAC) systems to validate materials, manage inventory transactions, confirm pack-out quantities, and maintain production records.
• Safely operate filling, material handling, forklift, and drum handling equipment; ensure proper container closure, tamper-evident sealing, grounding, bonding, and equipment setup.
• Maintain material traceability and organization through labeling, storage, FIFO, and adherence to HACCP and GMP requirements.
• Perform cleaning, inspection, and restocking to meet quality, housekeeping, and operational standards.
• Support a strong safety culture by following safety procedures, using PPE, participating in continuous improvement, and reporting unsafe conditions.
