Job summary

dsm-firmenich in Princeton, NJ is hiring a Sample Lab Packer for the 1st shift. You will accurately weigh, fill, label, and package liquid, powder, and chemical materials following standard work instructions and quality controls.

You’ll use SAP, MES, and Weight Assisted Computer (WAC) systems to record production data, manage inventory, and support HACCP/GMP compliance while maintaining a clean, safe work environment.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent or manufacturing experience.
• 1 year chemical manufacturing experience.
• Knowledge of GMP and HACCP.
• Must be able to tolerate strong odors and allergens.
• Ability to stand 8 hours and lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Accurately weigh, fill, package, and label liquid, powder, and chemical materials.
• Use SAP, MES, and Weight Assisted Computer (WAC) systems to validate materials, manage inventory transactions, confirm pack-out quantities, and maintain accurate production records.
• Safely operate filling, material handling, forklift, and drum handling equipment while ensuring proper container closure, tamper-evident sealing, grounding, bonding, and equipment setup.
• Maintain material traceability and organization through proper labeling, storage practices, FIFO inventory management, and adherence to HACCP and GMP requirements.
• Perform cleaning, inspection, and restocking activities to ensure equipment, containers, and work areas meet quality, housekeeping, and operational standards.
• Support a strong safety culture by following all safety procedures, using appropriate PPE, participating in continuous improvement initiatives, and immediately addressing or reporting unsafe conditions.
