Job summary

Metalcraft Of Mayville is seeking a 1st Shift Weld Production Supervisor to supervise a team of manual and robotic welders, assign tasks, and ensure full utilization of the Robotic Welding department.

You will lead safety, quality, and on-time production, develop and enforce policies, train staff, read blueprints, coordinate with other supervisors, and drive continuous improvements to meet customer specs.

Qualifications

• Experience with welding or robotic weld equipment
• Lean manufacturing experience preferred
• Experience with procurement or ordering supplies, troubleshooting welding/production issues, and welding tests for prospective welders
• Prior work with SAP is preferred

Responsibilities

• Oversee a team of welders and robotic weld operators to ensure high quality and low cost
• Plan and assign work to meet production goals
• Develop and implement departmental policies and procedures
• Resolve worker problems and grievances with management
• Inspect materials and equipment for defects
• Coordinate with other supervisors to align production between departments
• Motivate employees and improve production methods
• Train employees in equipment operation and safety procedures
• Direct activities of employees engaged in production of goods
• Review production schedules and reports to determine requirements
• Maintain attendance and timekeeping records
• Ensure adherence to processes and complete required paperwork
• Order materials and equipment as needed
• Monitor output to meet standards and customer specifications
• Ensure safety standards are followed
• Recommend improvements and drive continuous improvement initiatives
• Collaborate with HR on employee relations and grievances
• Other duties as assigned
