Qualifications

• Must complete an internal welding test.
• Familiar with fixtures and weld set up parameters (amps, volts).
• Basic computer literacy and ability to perform related functions.
• Ability to read blueprints and welding symbols.
• Strong attention to detail and self-motivation.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Competent in basic shop math.
• Ability to work with metal forming constraints with guidance.
• Experience with overhead crane is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Operate robotic welders to fabricate metal parts per specs.
• Set controls for wire feed speed, amperage, polarity, gas, and weld rod.
• Inspect pieces to verify conformance to specifications.
• Unload welded frames and containerize them appropriately.
• Clamps, tack-welds, and positions parts for welding.
• Remove weld splatter and finish welds as needed.
• Weld in flat, vertical, or overhead positions.
• Program, touch-up, and adjust robotic welding operations.
• Maintain part counts and labeling for tracking.
• Follow safety rules and keep work area clean.
