Job summary

The Suter Company Inc. seeks an Assistant Production Manager to support daily operations, ensure smooth, safe, and compliant production while upholding food safety and quality standards. You will coordinate staff, allocate resources, and drive production schedules to meet output targets.

Responsibilities include safety planning, monitoring resources, guiding training, preparing weekly briefings, and managing production runs; prior supervisory experience and GMP/SOP knowledge are valued.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business or related field and 1–3 years of supervisory experience, or a high school diploma/GED with 3–5 years of supervisory experience.
• Knowledge of GMPs and SOPs, HACCP and regulatory requirements.
• Experience with project development, implementation and management.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate safety initiatives and processes and participate in safety plans.
• Monitor and control resources in the production process.
• Ensure team members are trained and informed about performance.
• Prepare weekly meeting presentations and present content.
• Plan and coordinate daily/weekly production runs to meet targets.
• Complete incident reports in a timely manner.
