Job summary

Carpenter Co. in Rochester Hills is seeking a Production Trimmer, 1st shift, to manufacture products using primary and secondary processing equipment or hand assembly, following procedures to achieve productivity, quality, and safety.

You will trim flash, review job standards, ensure zero non-conformances, log scrap hourly, apply labels, record lot numbers, and communicate issues in staff meetings. Requires HS diploma or GED, 0–3 months related experience; ability to stand 8 hours, lift up to 50

Qualifications

• Education and experience requirements are HS diploma or GED, or 0–3 months related experience.
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions and communicate effectively.
• Ability to perform basic math and handle physical tasks required for trimming.

Responsibilities

• Trim the flash from the mold manually and/or with scissors.
• Review job standards before trimming and ensure product meets quality criteria.
• Record scrap hourly and apply all labels and lot numbers as required.
• Notify supervisor of discrepancies and participate in problem solving and safety procedures.
• Maintain housekeeping and participate in continuous improvement activities.
