Job summary

Perdue Foods is seeking a Production Superintendent to provide operational leadership across multiple production lines. You will align with plant goals for safety, quality, productivity and associate development, while coaching Supervisors and indirectly guiding hourly associates.

The role emphasizes growth, engagement and a strong safety culture. This 1st shift DEBONE role runs from 7:15 am to 4:30 pm, requiring collaboration with plant leadership to drive continuous improvement and Lean

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment with 2-4 years in supervisory or leadership role.
• Bachelor’s/Associate’s degree candidates require 1-3 years manufacturing experience and 2-4 years supervisory experience.
• Strong leadership, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
• Proficiency in lean manufacturing, root cause analysis, and ERP systems.
• In-depth knowledge of quality control processes and compliance standards (ISO, OSHA).
• Excellent problem-solving, organizational and time management skills.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Hire, train, lead and support Production Supervisors to achieve daily and weekly production targets.
• Support workforce planning, training, and succession development to build a strong leadership pipeline.
• Mentor and coach team members to improve skills and performance; manage performance and learning & development.
• Foster a collaborative, inclusive, and engaged team culture that aligns with company values and drives engagement and retention.
• Act as acting Plant Manager when needed and contribute to strategic planning sessions.
• Champion a proactive safety culture and ensure compliance with safety, food safety, and environmental regulations.
• Maintain compliance with HACCP, GMPs, sanitation, ISO, OSHA; drive quality and continuous improvement.
• Lead lean manufacturing initiatives to enhance productivity and reduce costs; identify process improvements.
