Job summary

Mitsubishi Power Americas is seeking a Production Supervisor (1st Shift) to lead daily shop-floor activities, ensure safety and quality, and drive on-time delivery. The role requires strong leadership, lean principles, and coordination with planning and engineering teams.

The position emphasizes accountability, team development, and continuous improvement in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, with a focus on meeting internal and external demand.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in a technical field is required.
• Minimum of five years in manufacturing operations with leadership experience.
• Experience with production scheduling and labor planning.
• Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, 5S, standard work, visual management.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate daily activities for setup, operation, repair, inspection, and manufacture of parts.
• Provide shop-floor leadership and translate production priorities into daily expectations while removing barriers to safe, high-quality, on-time execution.
• Be accountable for safety, quality, delivery, cost, productivity, workforce planning, employee development, performance management, and problem resolution within the department and shift.
• Lead work in accordance with policies, safety requirements, and quality standards.
• Mentor team leads, trainers, and emerging leaders while upholding values of integrity and accountability.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Quality, Planning, Maintenance, and other functions to resolve constraints and improve processes.
