Job summary

CHEP is seeking a Plant Operations Supervisor for 1st shift in Wilmington, MA to support the Plant Manager in running operations and delivering safety, quality, service, and cost improvements.

You will mentor staff, drive safety, manage maintenance, and lead continuous improvement while ensuring SOPs and regulatory compliance. Expect 1st shift 6am-2:30pm with 25-30 direct reports and weekly volumes of 40K sorted, 24K repairs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's in Operations/Supply Chain or related field.
• Six Sigma/Lean certification desirable.
• 90% of workforce is Spanish speaking; Spanish and English skills are valued.

Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on leadership by mentoring and coaching employees.
• Promote proactive safety culture and ensure safety standards.
• Lead maintenance coordination to minimize downtime and outages.
• Drive continuous improvement and cost-efficiency across operations.
• Monitor costs and yield; optimize performance with Plant Manager.
