Job summary

thyssenkrupp in Smithfield, RI is hiring a Warehouse Associate for 1st shift in the metals industry. You will work on the warehouse floor around heavy machinery, loading and unloading trucks, picking and packing orders, and may cut orders on a Kaltenbach saw.

Requirements include a high school diploma or GED, ability to lift up to 70 lbs, and read/write English (French in Quebec). Forklift experience and basic math are preferred; safety and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Ability to read and write English; French in Quebec locale.
• Must be able to lift up to 70 lbs and carry for 100 ft.
• Previous forklift experience preferred.
• Basic math skills for counting and inventory tasks.

Responsibilities

• Accurately removes and stocks product and supplies per inventory plan.
• Selects product to fill customer orders and packages properly.
• Loads and unloads trucks; verifies correct items loaded/unloaded.
• Performs picking, processing and packing; may cut orders on Kaltenbach saw.
• Completes cycle counts and inspects forklift at shift start.
• Adheres to health, safety, ISO and 6S requirements; supports team.
