Job summary

Quincy Street Inc. in Holland, Michigan, a division of Indiana Packers Corporation, seeks a 1st Shift Production Supervisor to oversee daily production, ensure safety and quality targets, and lead a team in a fast-paced meat processing facility.

The role requires 1–2 years of leadership experience in manufacturing, strong communication skills, and the ability to work in extreme conditions. Schedule flexibility and overtime are expected, with an equal opportunity employer policy in place.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
• 1–2 years leadership experience in a manufacturing environment, meat processing preferred.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to work in extreme hot, cold, wet, humid environments.
• Willingness to work on varied shifts and overtime, including weekends.

Responsibilities

• Lead the activities of the team members in the production of quality products.
• Implement and maintain safety standards throughout his/her area of responsibility as required by law and company policy
• Direct and implement job related training for all team members in his/her department
• Utilize strong communication skills to coach and guide team members to resolve employee issues and ensure corrective actions are implemented
• Create and foster a high morale workplace with ethical standards by treating all team members with dignity and respect
• Manage the completion of production schedules
• Ensure all proper processing procedures (quality, safety, etc...) are adhered to and not compromised
• Ensure appropriate level of discipline and accountability for team members while pursuing goals
• Monitor and make timely improvements to meet production quality and quantity goals
• Utilize problem solving techniques and process control tools to meet or exceed production schedules
• Facilitate workflow management and scheduling to meet company goals
• Conduct/process audits to identify corrective actions and minimize non-conforming product root causes
• Maintain compliance with company policies and PPE
