Job summary

Cornerstone Building Brands is seeking a dependable Maintenance Technician to join the manufacturing team at our Orwigsburg, PA site. You will maintain, troubleshoot, and repair production equipment to ensure safe, efficient operations and minimal downtime.

The ideal candidate will have strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills, experience with hydraulics/pneumatics, and the ability to read technical manuals and schematics. Overtime may be required; benefits start day one.

Qualifications

• Previous industrial maintenance experience preferred.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting abilities.
• Working knowledge of electrical systems, motors, conveyors, and industrial equipment.
• Experience with hydraulics and pneumatics preferred.
• Ability to read technical manuals, mechanical drawings, and electrical schematics.
• Basic welding and fabrication experience is a plus.
• Strong problem‑solving and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Willingness to work overtime when necessary.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine preventative maintenance on manufacturing equipment and machinery.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic equipment failures.
• Troubleshoot production equipment to minimize downtime and maintain productivity.
• Inspect machinery and identify potential maintenance issues before equipment failures occur.
• Perform equipment adjustments, repairs, and component replacements as necessary.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records, repair logs, and preventative maintenance schedules.
• Assist with equipment installations, upgrades, and modifications.
• Work closely with production supervisors to prioritize maintenance needs.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment.
• Follow all OSHA regulations, company safety procedures, and lockout/tagout requirements.
• Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns and emergency maintenance requests.
• Recommend improvements to equipment reliability, safety, and overall operational efficiency.
