Job summary

Cleveland Steel Container invites a Maintenance Technician to join the 1st shift at the Streetsboro facility. The role focuses on diagnosing, maintaining, and repairing steel stamping equipment, with a strong emphasis on safety and teamwork.

Qualified candidates will have a minimum of 7 years in manufacturing maintenance, with bonus points for experience in stamping/forming and electrical know-how, plus willingness to lift up to 50 pounds.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required; trade school is a plus.
• Minimum 7 years in manufacturing/plant maintenance experience.
• Steel stamping and forming experience is a plus.
• Experience in a trade school is a plus.
• Knowledge of electrical trades is a plus.
• Ability to operate cutting torches or welding equipment is a plus.
• Ability to lift and handle 50 pounds as required.
• Ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, operate, or test machinery to diagnose malfunctions.
• Dismantle machines to access and remove defective parts with hoists, cranes, hand tools, or power tools.
• Perform preventive maintenance like checking drives, motors, belts, and fluids.
• Diagnose mechanical problems using blueprints, repair manuals, or parts catalogs.
• Repair machines and equipment using hammers, hoists, saws, drills, wrenches, and testing devices.
• Adjust functional parts of devices using hand tools and measuring tools.
• Plan repair work using diagrams, blueprints, or maintenance manuals.
• Inspect used parts to verify changes in dimensional requirements with calipers or micrometers.
