Job summary

Cornerstone Building Brands is seeking a dependable Machine Operator for the steel parts department. The role involves operating a steel folding machine, reading schematics, and programming machines to bend parts to specifications.

You will inspect finished parts, cross-train on other steel-cutting machines, and maintain a clean, safe work area. The position requires standing most of the day, ability to lift 40–50 pounds, and a high school diploma or GED.

Qualifications

• Must have High School Diploma or GED.
• Able to stand for 90% of the day.
• Lift up to 40–50 pounds regularly.
• Previous manufacturing experience preferred but not required.
• Ability to read and understand schematics.
• Ability to read a tape measure.
• Work independently but contribute to team accomplishments.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Reliable transportation, attendance, and punctuality.

Responsibilities

• Operate a steel folding machine to bend steel parts.
• Read schematics, program machines, and run programs to bend parts to specs.
• Understand how steel parts are used in construction.
• Cross-train on other machines that cut steel.
• Inspect finished products for accuracy and consistency.
• Maintain a clean and organized workspace.
• Follow company safety procedures.
• Work collaboratively within the team to meet daily production goals.
• Willing to work with others in supportive areas of the plant.
• Ability to read and understand schematics.
