Job summary

Aerotek is seeking an Inventory Clerk for our San Marcos, CA facility on a first shift. You will maintain inventory records, support production teams, and ensure materials are properly stored and tracked to meet customer orders and schedules.

Typical duties include conducting cycle counts, using ERP systems for transactions, and performing visual inspections. This role requires standing most of the day and lifting up to 50 lbs in a manufacturing setting.

Qualifications

• Experience with inventory in a manufacturing or similar environment.
• Proficiency with basic computer functions and ERP systems.
• Strong math skills for counting and reconciling inventory.
• Ability to perform visual inspections of parts and materials.
• Experience with cycle counts and bin audits.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for long shifts.
• Experience with data entry related to inventory and production.
• Familiarity with material handling in production/warehouse.

Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate inventory records and store materials correctly.
• Conduct routine inventory and bin audits to verify levels and accuracy.
• Receive components and place into appropriate inventory locations.
• Review open work orders and prioritize production needs.
• Enter inventory and job transactions into ERP systems.
• Print and verify job travelers, drawings, and documents.
• Pull inventory according to work orders and part numbers.
• Assemble and deliver production kits to designated departments.
• Pull finished products and materials for customer orders.
• Provide inventory information to internal departments (production, loading, sales).
• Follow safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized workspace.
• Perform visual inspections for accuracy and quality.
• Handle materials safely, including organizing and staging items.
