Job summary

Jobot is seeking a Maintenance Technician to keep presses, automation, and plant equipment running safely and efficiently on first shift in Rockford, IL.

You will troubleshoot, repair, and perform preventive maintenance on stamping presses and related production machinery, reading schematics and ensuring uptime for a high-volume operation. This role offers growth opportunities with a stable, expanding company.

Qualifications

• Experience in industrial maintenance, preferably stamping or heavy manufacturing.
• Strong mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to read schematics, blueprints and technical drawings.
• Experience with PLCs and controls is a plus.
• Able to work first shift and lift required weights.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain stamping presses, coil handling equipment, and related production machinery.
• Perform preventive maintenance to reduce downtime and extend equipment life.
• Diagnose electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic issues.
• Support press, transfer, and automation equipment to keep production on schedule.
• Read blueprints, schematics, and electrical and hydraulic diagrams.
• Work with production, toolroom, and engineering teams to improve equipment reliability.
• Follow all safety procedures, including lockout/tagout.
• Keep accurate maintenance records and keep the work area clean and organized.
