Maintenance Jobs in Rockford, IL is seeking a maintenance technician responsible for installing, troubleshooting, repairing and maintaining production and facility equipment across dryers, chillers, HVAC, conveyors, pumps and more to support safe, efficient manufacturing. The role requires operating heavy machinery, performing preventive maintenance, and collaborating with staff.

Qualifications

This role requires minimum 1 year of maintenance experience in manufacturing or distribution.
Must be at least eighteen (18) years old and legally eligible to work without sponsorship.
Industrial/electrical/welding certifications or a technical degree are preferred.
Basic electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic theory is desirable.
Ability to read basic electrical and pneumatic diagrams.

Responsibilities

Checks and refills lubricant reservoirs and inspects machinery as part of scheduled PM.
Operates shop tools and equipment related to maintenance tasks.
Repairs and adjusts machinery and replaces defective components as needed.
Assists in electrical projects and performs minor electrical repairs.
Assists in pipe fitting tasks and installation work when required.
Maintains building equipment such as HVAC, lighting, water and sewer systems.
Supports installation of new plant equipment and improves equipment reliability.
Conducts preventive maintenance to ensure safe, efficient operations.
Promotes a clean, safe workplace in line with safety programs.
