American Wood Fibers, Inc. in Schofield, Wisconsin, is seeking a First Shift Industrial Maintenance Technician to troubleshoot and repair production equipment, perform preventive maintenance, and support uptime and safety.

The role requires 2+ years of related experience, a high school diploma, and knowledge of hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems. A basic tools set and the ability to read schematics are essential, with 8- or 12-hour shifts as needed.

Qualifications

• High School diploma required.
• 2+ years of related experience in industrial maintenance.
• Knowledge of hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems.
• Must have personal set of basic tools.

Responsibilities

• Performs scheduled maintenance repairs of production equipment and provides emergency/unscheduled repairs during production. Prepares and sets up machinery for scheduled productions runs.
• Repairs Bearings and power transmission components including chain drives, gearboxes, Motors, Low Voltage electrical, VFDs, pneumatic and hydraulic systems; PMs and repairs of plant equipment.
• May be assigned to repair trailers, general building maintenance, and other onsite needs.
• Reads and interprets manuals and work orders; logs work.
• Operates forklift and other mobile equipment safely.
