Job summary

American Wood Fibers in Jessup, MD is seeking a Millwright/Industrial Maintenance Tech for the 2nd shift to troubleshoot and repair equipment and ensure smooth production operations.

Responsibilities include performing scheduled PMs, maintaining machinery, reading manuals and schematics, and safely operating forklifts and related equipment in a manufacturing setting. Strong mechanical/electrical/hydraulic skills preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required.
• 2+ years in industrial maintenance or related field.
• Mechanical background with exposure to high-speed equipment.
• Electrical, hydraulics, and pneumatics knowledge is required.
• Basic welding experience is a plus.
• Must be able to read and interpret schematics.
• Must have personal set of basic tools and work independently.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair production equipment and machinery.
• Perform scheduled maintenance and PMs; set up machines for runs.
• Repair bearings, power transmission, motors, VFDs, pneumatics and hydraulics.
• Occasionally repair trailers and perform general building maintenance.
• Read manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance.
• Operate forklift and other mobile equipment safely.
