Job summary

American Wood Fibers (AWF) is a manufacturer with 450+ employees and 11 locations. AWF is seeking a 2nd shift Millwright / Industrial Maintenance Technician for the Schofield, WI facility.

Duties include troubleshooting, repairing equipment, and supporting plant operations with flexibility for off-shift coverage. Qualified candidates will have 2+ years in industrial maintenance, strong mechanical/electrical knowledge, and the ability to read schematics.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma.
• 2+ years of related experience in industrial maintenance.
• Mechanical and machinery background with exposure to high-speed equipment.
• Electrical, hydraulics, and pneumatics knowledge.
• Basic welding experience.
• Knowledge of hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems.
• Ability to read and interpret schematics.
• Must have personal set of basic tools & be able to work outside when necessary.
• Ability to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled maintenance and emergency repairs on production equipment.
• Set up machinery for scheduled production runs.
• Repair bearings, gearboxes, motors, VFDs, pneumatics and hydraulics.
• Repair trailers and perform general building maintenance as needed.
• Read and interpret manuals and work orders.
• Operate forklifts and other mobile equipment safely.
• Follow OSHA safety rules and maintain cleanliness of the department.
• Maintain logs using CMMS.
• Manage time effectively to complete assignments.
