Job summary

Siemens Mobility in Wendell, NC is seeking an Incoming Quality Inspector for the Receiving Inspection team on the 1st shift. You will perform incoming material inspection for Production Solutions products and collaborate with logistics to verify supplier quality.

The role requires 3+ years inspecting electrical and mechanical components, reading blueprints, welding inspection, and lifting up to 50 lbs. Proficiency in English and experience with SAP, Salesforce.com, and Excel are preferred.

Qualifications

• 3+ years’ experience with inspection of electrical and mechanical components.
• 3+ years’ experience with reading and understanding mechanical blueprints.
• 3+ years’ experience with inspection of welded components using welding symbols/tolerances per mechanical blueprints.
• 3+ years’ experience working with tape measures, calipers, and height gauges.
• Full proficiency in English, including reading, writing, and speaking.
• Proven record in Quality and Productivity.
• Applicants must be legally authorized for employment within the United States without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Calibrate inspection tools and ensure proper calibration across teams.
• Resolve non-conformances with material used in finished goods.
• Drive continuous improvement activities with own team and other departments.
• Work with SAP, Salesforce.com and Microsoft Excel.
• Adhere to safety rules and keep safety first for self and others.
• Perform miscellaneous duties as assigned by Supervisor or Management.
