Job summary

Aerotek is hiring an Assembler in Columbia, SC to work on a new production line, preparing bases and installing components for large HVAC units. The role requires standing most of the shift and performing heavy lifting, with use of hand and power tools to build mechanical assemblies.

You will read basic blueprints, handle large assemblies with cranes or hoists, and collaborate with teammates to meet production targets while following GMP and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of manufacturing assembly experience.
• Ability to read basic blueprints and prints.
• Experience with hand and power tools.
• Ability to stand for long shifts and lift heavy items.
• Experience with HVAC or large mechanical equipment is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assemble bases and install components per specifications.
• Read blueprints and ensure accurate large-unit assembly.
• Operate hand and power tools safely.
• Move heavy assemblies using cranes, hoists, and ladders.
• Follow GMP or production standards and safety protocols.
• Perform basic troubleshooting on mechanical/electrical issues.
• Collaborate with team to meet production targets.
