Job summary

Preble Street in Portland, ME is seeking a full-time Housing Support Staff member for Florence House to engage with clients, provide casework services, and help maintain housing stability. The role includes crisis intervention, coverage duties, and collaboration with a team in a 24/7 housing program.

The schedule is Monday–Friday, 7:00am–3:30pm, with an hourly rate of $23.82 plus a $1 shift differential between 7:00am and 10:00pm.

Qualifications

• MHSS certification is required (on the job/after hire possible)
• Strong communication, de-escalation and crisis intervention skills
• Familiarity with community resources
• Ability to work with diverse populations and maintain professional boundaries
• Ability to work as part of a team

Responsibilities

• Outreaches and engages with clients and tenants.
• Participates in casework service provision.
• Provides program coverage and maintains safety in program spaces.
