Job summary

LeoForce is seeking a CNC Machinist in Elyria, OH to join a first shift team. The role requires strong setup and operation of CNC machines, reading blueprints, and translating instructions into machine commands.

You will work on 5-axis/mill tasks and ensure quality through inspection and testing. The ideal candidate has 5+ years of CNC experience, proficiency in G-code and Mastercam, and the ability to read mechanical drawings.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of CNC machinist experience.
• Proficient in G-Code programming and Mastercam.
• Experience with 5-axis milling.
• Strong ability to read blueprints and mechanical drawings.
• Excellent problem-solving and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.
• High school diploma or equivalent; technical school preferred.
• CNC operator certification a plus.
• Ability to stand long hours and lift heavy objects.
• Commitment to quality, safety and productivity.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC machines to perform tasks such as drilling, grinding, milling, etc.
• Understand specifications of the task at hand and the desired result by reading blueprints, mechanical drawings, etc.
• Translate instructions into computer commands so the machines can perform the correct function.
• Prepare and load raw materials and parts onto the machines.
• Inspect and measure finished products to ensure they meet requirements.
• Test operation of machines periodically to guarantee their smooth running.
• Maintain machinery, keep records of run times, and perform routine checks on output.
• Perform safety inspections and follow safety rules and regulations.
• Collaborate with the team to improve processes and achieve team objectives.
