LeoForce in Chatsworth, CA is seeking a highly skilled CNC Machinist to join our engineering team on a permanent basis. The role requires operating, setting up, and maintaining 5-axis CNC machines, reading blueprints, and ensuring tolerances with precision tools.

This position emphasizes tool and die experience and Mastercam proficiency. The ideal candidate has 5+ years of experience, strong knowledge of CNC machining and 5 Axis operations, and a detail-oriented mindset.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of CNC Machinist experience in engineering.
• Proficient in operating CNC machinery with 5 Axis capabilities.
• Strong ability to read blueprints and schematics.
• Proficient with micrometers/calipers and precision measurement tools.
• Experience with G Code and Mastercam software.
• Experience in tool and die operations (stamping/main tooling).
• Familiarity with TIG welding process.
• Proficient in using CMM for quality checks.
• Excellent problem-solving and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and ability to adapt to fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Reading and interpreting engineering blueprints and understanding project requirements.
• Setting up, operating, and maintaining CNC machines to perform drilling, grinding, milling tasks.
• Translating instructions into computer commands so machines perform correctly.
• Using micrometers, calipers, and other tools to inspect parts to tolerances.
• Using Mastercam to program, set up, and operate 5 Axis CNC machines.
• Performing tool and die operations, including stamping and tooling.
• Using G Code to control all machine features.
• Conducting quality checks with CMM to ensure design specs.
• Performing routine machine maintenance and minor repairs.
• Collaborating with engineering to troubleshoot problems and improve machining processes.
